Hosted and curated by Elisa Brunelli Abstract Rage is a powerful response to threats or violations. But not all rage is perceived equally: a woman’s anger is too often dismissed, mocked, or demonized. This chapter follows rage back to one of its roots, grief. A grief that refuses to go quiet, that will not disappear politely, that turns its face outward instead of folding in on itself. And it follows rage into one of its darkest, least-spoken desires, revenge. Revenge promises what grief alone could not give: an ending, a reckoning, a debt finally paid. On the 25th of November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women , we explore this through poetry and storytelling.
