Terwijl de stad wordt belegerd, introduceert Jan steeds opportunistischere interpretaties van wat God zou willen: gehoorzaamheid, straf, polygamie, orgieën met nonnen en mooie kleren voor zichzelf. Met livemuziek, satire en een razendsnelle manier van verhalen vertellen door het hele ensemble verbindt MÜNSTER de Reformatie met de influencer­cultuur van vandaag: een wereld waarin gezag afbrokkelt en waarheid een kwestie van interpretatie wordt. In zijn werk onderzoekt hij politiek, identiteit, desillusie en generationeel trauma. Als medeoprichter, zanger en gitarist van het electro-rock duo WC is hij een prominente stem binnen de Israëlische protestmuziekscene. Zijn solovoorstelling My Phantom Limb , gemaakt voor het Amsterdam Storytelling Festival, combineert politieke autobiografie, muziek, video en persoonlijke geschiedenis om zijn desillusie met het zionisme, zijn gevoel van verbondenheid en de emotionele prijs van een ideologische breuk te onderzoeken. Fernando Rodil is een Argentijnse theatermaker, scenarioschrijver, regisseur, performer en verhalenverteller met wortels in de theaterscene van Buenos Aires. Sinds 2020 woont hij in Amsterdam. Hij schreef voor internationale platforms waaronder HBO, Amazon Prime Video en Disney+. Zijn solovoorstelling Fer Is On A Deadline gebruikt comedy, storytelling en songwriting om ziekte, rouw, tijd en sterfelijkheid met scherpe humor en emotionele eerlijkheid tegemoet te treden. Inspired by the true story of the Anabaptist takeover of Münster in 1534, the show follows Jan Bockelson, a failed tailor, bar owner, and performer who finds a new stage in religious radicalism. As the city is besieged, Jan introduces increasingly convenient interpretations of what God wants: obedience, punishment, polygamy, orgies with nuns, and nice clothes for himself. With live music, satire, and fast ensemble storytelling, MÜNSTER connects the Reformation to today’s influencer culture: a world where authority collapses and truth becomes a matter of interpretation. As the co-founder, vocalist, and guitarist of the electro-rock duo WC, he has been a prominent voice in Israel’s protest music scene. His solo show My Phantom Limb, created for the Amsterdam Storytelling Festival, combines political autobiography, songs, video, and personal history to examine his disillusionment with Zionism, belonging, and the emotional cost of ideological rupture. Fernando Rodil is an Argentinian theatre maker, screenwriter, director, performer, and storyteller with roots in the Buenos Aires theatre scene. Based in Amsterdam since 2020, he has writing credits with international platforms including HBO, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+. His solo show Fer Is On A Deadline uses comedy, storytelling, and songwriting to confront illness, grief, time, and mortality with sharp humor and emotional honesty.
